Young Women - Feb. 2010

The Young Women in Glenview Ward are excited to start a new year in 2010 with our new YW/YM Theme-

               "Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed:  for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."                 Joshua 1:9

The Stake had a Parable of the Ten Virgins program for all the Stake YW. It was a beautiful dance program with really neat music!

We had a Bonfire/Testimony meeting at the beginning of the month with all of the YW and YM! Thanks to the Petersens for letting us use their property! It was a great night and the Spirit was strong! Lots of great testimonies were borne- the youth in our ward are "Strong and Courageous"!

The YW had New Beginnings at the end of Jan. The theme was "The Big Picture", reminding us that everything we do in YW- mutual, activities, personal progress- leads to the Temple!

And speaking of Personal Progress, work on it each Sunday for at least 15 minutes! If you do it a little at a time, you'll be able to get it all done!

Thurs, Feb 4th is Baptisms for the Dead at 5pm! Meet at the church at 4:45pm!

The last 3 weeks in February the YW will be participating in Stake Sports! The Laurels & Priests are playing Volleyball and the Mia Maids and Beehives are playing Softball! Your leaders will let you know the times!
