Primary News!

Congratulations Primary Children. We’ve finally met our scripture reading goal! We’ve collectively read enough days to fill up our temple picture so, now it’s time to get ready for our quarterly activity at the temple. On April 18th at 10 am we will meet in front of the Visitor’s Center. If any parents would like to join us, we’d love to have you. We also welcome any visitors that the Primary children would like to bring to the temple grounds. Our activity should end by 11:30 am and the children will be waiting by the Visitor’s Center entrance.

The March issue of the Friend has a good idea for encouraging appropriate Sunday activities. These “Sunday Stations” offer some fun and enriching activities for the whole family. They can be adapted to your family’s preferences, and would provide an easy way to practice the Articles of Faith or to work on the Faith in God program.

We encourage each family to play the primary CD often. Play it at home, in the car, or during family night and sing along! We love to hear our Primary children sing, especially during the sacrament program, but it does take a lot of practice. Also, all of the Articles of Faith are on the CD as well. We found that the songs really help many of the children memorize them. Even our sweet little sunbeams have passed off a number of them. We are working on articles 7 and 8 in April. Come and pass off any that you have memorized with either your primary teacher (during class) or with any member of the primary presidency (after closing exercises). We will give you a star sticker to put on the chart to mark each one.

Activity Days for girls will be held on April 8th. They will have a fashion focus. There will be just the one activity in April.

Primary News!

Our 8 is Great activity went really well. We are so excited for our CTR 8s who get to be baptized and begin the Faith in God program this year. Thank you to everyone who participated in the program that evening.
We have only one line left to complete our temple picture. Great job reading scriptures as families! Keep it up. Our temple trip is just around the corner.
Article of Faith #6 is the focus this month, so remember to practice numbers 1 through 5 at home and pass them off on Sunday after Primary. The songs to all of the Articles of Faith are on the Primary CD we gave out at Christmas time.
